Week commencing 16/12/18 saw me return from London and got back to Worle in time for a ROG move that followed my unit from Bristol thinking this would be my only shot of the week i was surprised to find they were around all week so having a day off on the 21st i managed to get them on a stock move along with my first Castle HST set around Weston
On 14/12/18 we headed to London for the weekend to see Madness and with it being harder to avoid 800's out of Weston knowing 1A12 was still booked HST that was the chosen service to catch
On 04/12/2018 i had a doctors appointment great as this was the day ROG moved a class 397 from Portbury but luck was on my side as i made it an old haunt for it in time only to be told that the RHTT hadn't reported since 07:00 and that the 0Z83 move from Laira hadn't departed so after the EMU drag i came home to find the RHTT did run and then 0Z83 was running 230 late although RTT was showing it canceled so around to my usual place to say farewell to another pair of power cars
On 20/11/2018 my last day off so headed to london and started the day with this pair and see my pictures in out & about to see how i finished
Week commencing 18/11/18 started with a move from Bristol-Laira of another 3 plug door fitted HST coaches this was then followed by me going to Patchway for a few hours on 19/11/18 on arrival Network rail turned up to clear vegetation from the end of the platform towards the tunnel but as you will see they managed to leave one rouge bush on the end of the platform
Week commencing 11/11/2018 i was doing some work on my layout and needed a distraction which came in the shape of 3Z08 from Exeter Riverside then t on the 12/11/2018 it was the turn of another pair of off lease power cars and on getting to my location i saw on Railcam maps there was a freight heading the other way which turned out to be 6C73 on a VSTP and running 90+ early
On 09/11/2018 i was heading for London for more RHTT workings but instead of getting up when the alarm went off to get the first train i rolled over and had another hour so ennded up on 1A06 at 06:20 and had a pleasant surprise of it being an HST
On 07/11/2018 finishing work a bit late got the good lady to pick me up & bring my camera so i could get the Barton Hill RHTT as it was running in a later path due to Filton bank being closed for quadrupling 7 being dark meant for some night shots but being rather windy i used the hand held night shot mode on the camea
13/10/2018 being my day off & with the RHTT running went and got my annual shots of it in Weston-super-Mare station
Week commencing 08/10/2018 saw Flying Moneypit pass through Weston but as i was working had to make do with the diesel leg on the return what a shame then o my first day off & catching up with my previous weeks shots i ventured out for the RHTT as its now provided by Colas instead of DBC so went to Worle for a change of location for it
On 03/10/2018 i worked a half day & on getting home found out the Bridgwater had ran so that was lunchtime sorted but this was the day they let it out according to maps only for it to disappear from the maps to let a unit pass before reappearing

Here are some of the workings i was able to get out for around Weston during August as i was on earlies in work & got lucky the Bridgwater ran in its old path on one occasion & then a random shot on the M5 as well
The week started on 29/07/2018 with the Torbay Express but due to a member of the support crew being taken ill the booked steam was replaced by a diesel then on 02/08/2018 Rail Operations Group brought another pair of HST power cars back to Laira TMD
On 26/07/2018 i stayed at home to catch up on things but there was plenty to keep distracting me starting with Harry Patch & finishing with a West Coast railtour returning
This little colllection goes back to 10/07/2018 & the annual visit of The Royal Scotsman tour ending with the first visit on 22/07/2018 of our Northern interloper great when you wake to find messages to tell you its on its way & approaching Weston-super-Mare mad dash got it
On 23/06/2018 being Mazey Day in Penzance so Pathfinders ran their annual tour which this year featured the 50 Alliance's 50007+50049 renumbered & named as long lost 50006 Neptune & 50011 Centurion so finishing work early enough i went for a slightly different location to get the renumbered side
so Week commencing 10/606/2018 7 following the previous days Peak District Explorer i went out for a rare daylight test train returning to Derby RTC this was followed on 11/06/2018 by a day out to Newport & Swindon so the week continued on 12/06/2018 with Fairwaters track renewal train returning in the morning followed by the Bridgwater flask & being home allowed me to get the afternoon return workings as well
On -9/-6/2018 i did Pathfinders Peak District Explorer which started at Taunton calling at Weston on its way to Buxton & the Hindlow branch but due to loco failure at Westbury it started late which allowed me to get 1A06 on a Saturday morning
On 8/6/2018 i went to the West Somerset Railways diesel gala but i timed to be in the station at Weston for 1A08 & also found a pair of stone blowers in the bay
On 06/06/2018 saw another HST move off lease but this was then followed by the convoy for the West Somerset gala
Between 24th-29th 05/2018 i had a few days around Bristol & Weston starting with the barrier move to Portbury for the Trans Pennine Express MK5's then went back up the following day in the car with the intention of getting them on the at Pill but due to a trasspass incident at Bedminster & knowing another 37 was around i changed location big mistake as i was on the move it departed to be held at Ashton Junc so after getting the 37 moved again & guess what line reopened so ended up getting the stock at my old train spotting shack & i finished the week of with good old Caroline beeing shoved past Weston
At the end you will find some pictures starting with Pill station then some showing the work going on to recreate the four track on Filton bank
At the end you will find some pictures starting with Pill station then some showing the work going on to recreate the four track on Filton bank
On 10/05/2018 with it being harder to get an HST out of Weston worked out 1A06 at 06:20 was still booked fro one so did that to Bristol as i was on my way to Eastleigh & St Denys to get the Purbeck Explorer tour

On 18/4/2018 i was busy editing pictures but got distracted by the following workings
On 14/03/2018 was heading to Eastleigh so having to change trains at Temple Meads & with the B&H closed through Newbury meant HST's were diverted so was hoping for some on the through lines but i was in the wrong place for the only one while i was there
On 5/3/2018 and after the sea wall at Dawlish had been closed caused the Clayliner to run in daylight which was a welcome change from its more nocturnal movement
Week commencing 25/02/2018 i was able to venture out before work on 27th or the HOBC returning to Fairwater closely followed by the Bridgwater then on the 28th after dropping the wife in to work i got the HOBC in the first of the snow then on 1st March was meant to be heading to the Thames Valley with a friend but we only got as far as Bath before heading back to Bristol & giving up after getting the TPE 68's going to Wembley
On 20/02/2018 woke to find the Bridgwater was running & the down working was due in daylight so popped out for what seems to be the usual pair of 68's now & then later Freightliner took some of the Fairwater HOBC to St Philips Marsh for tyre turning
Thursday 15/2/2018 was the start of my 6 days off which just happened to start 6 days of photography starting with the Moorswater cement then day 3 & 4 saw me after visiting Eastleigh on day 2 stay locol as the Fairwater HOBC made a rare daylight run out saw me visit Brent Knoll for the first time in a while then on day 4 saw me use my usual bridge
On 07/02/2018 was originally going to go to Stafford but didn't make & not knowing what to do the night before decided to have a day at home only to wake & find the DB management train was going to Severnside so with nice winter sun popped out for it & then waited for the Colas coal as iv'e wanted to get it in the area
The start of February saw me go to a location i hadn't used for a while & waited for the Moorswater cement & a pleasant 30 minute wait resulted in a good selection

On 11/01/2018 GWR ran a Back to Back power car move from Laira-St Philips Marsh with Harry Patch on it & winter sun it was rude not to
On 05/01/2108 saw the first visit of a classic loco to the Weston area & as its the 50th anniversary of the all the Hoovers being in traffic it was rude not to pop out for Thunderer & it returned the following morning but on that occasion went off route & through Weston station so making it the first one to visit the station in 2018 but i was caught out by being on this bridge for it
On 03/01/2018 i was heading to the Thames Valley for the day & while waiting for 1A08 to arrive i got these couple in Weston before heading off
