December 2021 produced two notable workings with the Fairwater Yard Snow Plough test run reversing in Weston and then 68006's first appearance in its new DRS Powering to a Greener Britain livery
November was a very quiet month locally with the exception of getting a stone train in Temple Meads the only other thing was i popped out once for the Bridgwater
This update with me staying local covers 12/10/21-25/10/21 and see some around Weston as well as two visits to Patchway and a few from what i use to call Ram Hill Coalpit Heath shame my attempt to get 3S59 at Sea Mills was thwarted again by early running
On 22/9/21 with the Bridgwater running in its late morning path i popped out for the down and then the return at lunchtime
September found a few steam workings around Weston and the chance to try a location that hasn't been on for a few years has resulted in a new location i will be doing a bit more and then this update ended with a working that i never thought i would get in that possibly the last time a Western worked a freight out of Avonmouth over Hallen Bank was some 45 years previous
On 30th August saw a Steam move through Weston so being home before a night out had to be done
On 23/8/21 returning from the Thames Valley i got to Filton abbey Wood and remembered the Theale tanks were routed via B & H and the Avon Valley so waited for them to come over the top of Filton Bank
August started with more engineers trains to Bristol for the East Junction remodeling and for one week GWR diverted one Weston-Bristol Parkway diagram via St Philips Marsh so would be rude not to do it as the line was required
This local update covers all of July with Bristol West Junction being remodeled there has been an influx of engineers trains to and from Westbury
Early June found lockdown being eased which resulted in more heritage traction around Weston and a new location found and tried for the firs time even though i drive past it every day
On 10/5/21 due to on going issues with GWR IET's Cross Country ran an additional Plymouth-Swindon using an HST set so before work i was able to capture the first in a long time of a booked XC HST arriving in to WSM then on 20/5/21 the Clay ran in its daylight path
This update starts with the Exeter stone diverted due to castle Cary being closed then the Colas twins ending with a rare visit of a 56 to these parts now adayas
A few more taken around Weston this time includes a rae daylight run of the Clayliner and J Hoskins little jolly to the West Country
This update sees the Bridgwater running for a few weeks including a rare Saturday run northbound due to a wagon problem on the Friday and the load has been everything from 1 FNA to 5 FNA's and 5 is the most been seen so far on this working
So far this year i haven't traveled far from Weston except for one quick trip at the start of March for the first Flask in almost a year which had to go to Taunton Fairwater yard due to a points problem at Bridgwater so have included that shot in here
