On 22/12/2017 Colas operated a Westbury-Westbury via Taunton & Weston station loop so i took a break from present wrapping & popped up the end of the road for it
On 13/12/2017 had a day at Banbury and started with a mix n match HST from Weston & with time running out for thenm here on Intercity services made the most of it
On 9/12/2017 there was the rare appearance of a railtour in to Weston even though it departed in the morning i didn't set the alarm but did go out after work for the return which terminated at Weston due to engineering work around Bridgwater so another chance ao some night time shots was taken
On 7/12/2017 and on my way back from a day around Gloucester & Cheltenham changed trains at Temple Meads which coincided with the Moorswater cement being held to time
On 6/12/2017 saw the Bridgwater run with another first visit for a 68 & with word that they will be taking over on the Cumbrian coast from 37's makes me wonder what we may get back on this working once the Northen loco hauled start running as well
To start the festive month off we had to say goodbye to another HST set as another off lease move passed through the area
Being on holiday for a week from 26/11/2017 i was able to get out for a few things atrating with a daylight test run off an 802 & later two pairs of 68's & an HST going off lease
On 11/11/2017 i was on my way to visit my brother but delayed going as had been tipped off Sir Kenneth had a livery variation so called in to WSM for it & then two days later i recorded history making as the first IET arrived in service on 1C24 17:30 from Paddington
On 9/11/2017 while waiting for a train to London i was able to get the old order & new order on the Weston stoppers side by side
On 03/11/2017 while waiting for a train to take me to Taunton on the first part of my journey to the South Devon gala Casper rolled in going to Bristol not the best shot but it wont be here for much longer
On 02/11/2017 Colas were running a driver training run so popped out for it & then later on while out with the wife popped in to Worle for the Moorswater & got a Turbo as well
On 13/10/2017 while editing pictures from the previous day at Tonbridge gen filtered through there was a Fairwater-Basford Hall running so popped out 7 even got one of GWR's green HST's running in front of it then on the 14/10/2017 was the first run of the Barton Hill RHTT set so i popped up the station to record it
On 05/10/2017 was slowly sorting things out with my last update but had the distraction of the Bridgwater running so popped out & had the bonus of a Freightliner loco move to Eastleigh right in front of it
On 28/09/2017 and while editing the previous weeks holiday pictures had the nice distraction of the Bridgwater running and as it was another new 68 for area and being red pen it was rude not to pop out the only downside to the previous week was that it was tucked inside but plenty of time to get it leading
On 14/09/2017 and the start of some time off of work saw the Bridgwater run in atrocious weather at Lunch time before the sun appeared for the Moorswater in the afternoon
On 11/09/2017 found out with little notice tha 43093 OOC111 was on 1C22 17:30 from paddington & approaching WSM so a mad dash to my nearest bridge was made for the shot
On 07/09/2017 saw the very rare daylight run of the old clayliner to Cornwall so it was an opportunity not to miss photting this working
On 03/09/2017 saw the last run of The Torbay express via Weston fot the 2017 season & on this occasion it was in the hands of long time favorite Clan Line so in seasonal weather i ventured to the end of the road for the out ward working
On02/09/2017 while waiting for friends from Taunton to arrive & heading of to the Old Oak Common open day i grabbed these early morning shots
On 31/08/2017 saw the almost weekly run of the Bridgwater but was also the day the first off lease HST from GWR was moved from Laira to St Philips Marsh by GWR before a move to Doncaster by Rail Operations Group so it was Bye Bye to 43021/132 in unbranded livery along with set LA02
On 24/08/2017 before heading to July/Aug 2017Newport & Cardiff started with 6V74 for the last time this year unless it runs late & then caught an HST from Patchway to Newport as Bristol Parway was closed so got an IEP while waiting
On 19/08/2017 so we could take the grandson to the rare breeds at Totnes we had to go to Bristol to change so more mileage on HST's was had & managed a few shots & then while Pauline took him home i hung around Weston station before heading back to Taunton & got some colourful units
On 3/08/2017 was a busy day around Weston starting with Networkrails 150 followed by Rail Operations Group 37800 but as i was on my usual bridge that was sent off route & through the station so next was Caroline withone time Inverness allocated Isle of Mull followed by the Bridgwater & finishing with the Moorswater cement so it never rains but pours on Weston all in one day so its never interesting around here
On 26/07/2017 had a trip to the Thames Valley area as Oxford was closed for upgrading work meant all fright was diverted and haulage to reading was provided by a pair of power car namer's on 1A06 o6:20 from Weston
On 23/07/2017 saw the first run of The Torbay Express via Weston & after only getting as far as the front door for the down went out for the return as the weather had changed & think it was worth the short walk
On 11/07/2017 the GBRF operated Royal Scotsman paid its second visit to the South West so the Passengers could enjoy Breakfast on the sea wall so an early alarm for the shot of it passing through Weston & this year instaed of the pair of Scotsman 66's we had a GBRF one instead
On 07/07/2017 and after spending the week on Barton Hill Thunderer returned the rail grinder back to Derby so after the previous weeks shot at Hewsih i went to my usual bridge to record yet another Hoover around Weston & looking all the part of being a DCWA loco again
Since returning from my holiday at Quorn see out & about May/June the following have bben seen around Weston starting with the Mazy day Cirnishman which was in trouble before it set off from Worcester so i was glad to be back in time to record the Freightliner 66 on the returning tour for the rarity & finishing with the even more rare Thunderer working a railgrinder move just like it use to when a DCWA loco in the late 80's
On 09/06/2017 looked at my emails a bit late so missed the IEP go down but managed to get it on its returning driver training run & then later on got tipped off that 43016 was out for the first time in GWR green so went to the station for it & had the added bonus of a GWR grene 150/2 in at the same time
On 01/06/2017 with the sun out & one of Colas new toys on the weekly cement empties it was too good an opportunity to miss & with it being only load 11 used a slightly different angle to the normal shot from my usual bridge
Week commencing 21/05/2017 saw the Northen Belle pass through Weston Area & all so that kettle everyone gets so excited about & yes i did join everyone for a shot of it as i'm sure i haven't got a shot of it around Weston then this was followed the following Sunday by the first daylight run of a Hitachi IEP set
On 13/05/2017 being my weekend off there was plenty to keep me busy locally for a change with some interesting HST formations
On 10/05/2017 while on my way to Cardiff before heading to West London i changed trains at Temple Meads to find 31452 still there & to a wait the Track Renewal Train to pass through
On 05/05/2017 finishing work at a reasonable time 7 knowing there was a move from Derby RTC to Okehampton i pooped oyut for oit to find the NMT was following it down so two for the price of one as they say
On 19/04/2017 with gen that Caroline was around i headed for the Thames Valley see out & about & haulage to Bristol was with the 2 GWR green 153's
On 18/04/2017 had a day off so popped out for a rare weekday daylight working of the Track renewal train going back to Fairwater Yard
On 31/03/2017 Colas used there Skips instead of the NMT HST so on my way to Crawley for the Bluebell Railways gala i called in to Patchway for them on there return from Swansea
On the 20/03/2017 there was a derailment at East Somerset Junc so all HST's & freights were diverted so on 22/03/2017 after having a day route learning in work & getting away early i was able to get out for the returning Exeter stone which had a pair of Colas 70's as the inward loco had failed in Riverside Yard with alternator problems
On 06/03/2017 there was a Freightliner move to Fairwater which should of ran the previous Saturday but was cancelled & even ran an hour late on this day
On 04/03/2017 Pathfinder ran their Bristol Docker tour from Didcot to Portbury Dock so with it being around Bristol for 8hrs i decided to wait until the afternoon to go out and get in several locations starting at PIll & had the bonus of beating it to Sea Mills for the final shots
On 24/02/2017 while editing my previous trips shots i had gen that Sir Kenneth was around so popped out for it in full sun
Well what a way to end my birthday jolly on 22/02/2017 but with a trip back to Weston from Bristol on 43027
Woke up on 17/02/2107 to find that 6V74 was running to time & would pass just as the light was about light enough so if you don't try you won't know so ventured out & even did the return later in the morning so a rare double shot day
On 16/02/2017 On the way back from a day at Eastleigh i found out that 37069 was on route to Bristol so instead of changing trains at bath i went to Temple Meads & found it in the high level siding
On 11/02/2017 England were playing Wales in the Rugby 6 Nations in Cardiff & both the Belmond Pullman & Northern Belle were running so had an interesting hour at Patchway for them
On 25/01/2017 having a day off & catching up with the previous days pictures & knowing the Bridgwater was running & 150002 was around so stayed local for a few shots
On 24/01/2017 on the way back from the Thames valley see out & about for more so had an hour at Temple Meads
During the week 17/1/17-22/1/17 i had a few days out around Weston-Super-Mare using gen received during the day
On 05/01/2017 i ventured out for the first time of the year so while changing trains & knowing a test train had arrived over night i managed this shot all though not in the best place for a shot it was agreat way to start the day more to be found in out & about 2017
4/01/2017 saw me pick up the camera for the first time of the year as the Bridgwater was running with a pair of 66's so went to my local spot & is this a sign of how this will be this year
